No one in the world is exactly like you - or your friends! Show how you care about yourself and others with these activates.
#1. I Care
Be a "secret pal" to someone. Think of nice things you can do for your
secret pal. Write a poem, make a friendship pin, send a card, or be a helper.
#2. Favorites
Make a list of some of your favorite things - songs, books, places to
go, things to do. Compare them with your friends' lists. What things are the
same? What things are different? Try reading a friend's favorite book or
watching a friend's favorite movie with her. Ask her why she likes it.

#3. What If?
With your Girl Scout troop or group, talk about what makes a person a
good friend. How can you be a good friend to another person? With your Brownie
Girl Scout friends, act out what you would do in tow of the following
situations.
Think of other scenes to act out.
#4. Differences are OK
Many people look different than you. Some have skin or hair color that
is different. Some are taller or shorter. One person may see better and another
not hear as well. All these people have similar feelings on the inside. They
also have talents to share with others.
With your Girl Scout troop or group, find out about ways that
you are different from each other. Find out about ways you are the same as
others. Choose a partner and stand or sit facing her:
1. Interview your partner. Ask her about her family, where she lives, and her
favorite food, activity, and movie. Then your partner gets a turn to find out
about you.
2. Come together as a group and talk about some of the ways you are different
and the same.
#5. A Friend's Scrapbook
Make a scrapbook that tells about your friends.
You will need:
1. Fold the construction paper in half. This will be the
cover.
2. Decide how many friends you want to put in your book. Make a page for each of
them.
3. Staple the pages and cover together.
4. Decorate the cover.
5. Make a page for each friend. You may want to put in pictures, phone numbers,
birthdays, addresses, or other things you think would be fun. What makes them
your friend? What do you like about them?
#6. Be a Good Neighbor
Is there a neighbor who needs your help? Is she busy with kids? Or
taking are of someone elderly? Or is she elderly herself? Find out what is
needed and help out! You could share conversation, weed a garden, or do a chore.
Be sure you have your parents or guardian's permission!
